Siddaramaiah wants to be CM again
Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has expressed his wish to become Chief Minister for one more term. “I wish to become Chief Minister again. I am confident that people will bless me,” he said at Hadya in Holenarsipur taluk on Friday.
He said he was hoping to occupy the post after the recent Assembly elections. “But, all opponents joined hands only to prevent me from becoming Chief Minister for a second consecutive term.”
The Congress leader said he had worked for the welfare of all sections of people during his tenure. “But the people did not support me in the election. These days politics is driven by money power and caste. This is dangerous to democracy.”
Referring to the floods in Kodagu, Mr. Siddaramaiah criticised the Centre for not announcing relief to the State. The Prime Minister should have visited the place and announced a relief package, he felt.
Mr. Siddaramaiah was at Hadya to take part in the inauguration of a temple.
