Siddaramaiah to inaugurate three-day event

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the three-day 15th Halumata Samskriti Vaibhava of Kaginele Mahasamsthana Kanaka Gurupeetha here at Tintani village in Shorapur taluk in Yadgir district on Monday.

Minister for Social Welfare H. Anjaneya, Municipal Administration and Waqf Minister Qamarul Islam and Minister for Ports and Textile Baburao Chinchansur will take part in the convention.

District president of the District Gond (Kuruba) Association Mahantesh Koulgi said that folk artistes from different States, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, would perform. The event will also include traditional games such as kabbadi, wrestling and sheep fights.

Union Minister for Fertilizers and Chemicals Ananth Kumar and Union Law Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda would also participate on the second day of the Samskriti Vaibhava.
