The health of Shivakumara Swamy of Siddaganga Mutt at Tumakuru is critical.

Personal physician of the seer, Dr. Paramesh, said that there is variation in the seer's blood pressure and lung function since last night.

Speaking to the reporters on the premises of the mutt on Monday, Dr. Paramesh said that the protein level in his body had dropped. He said the next update on the seer's health will be given in 2-3 hours.

Many prominent politicians, including BJP state president B.S. Yeddyurappa and Home Minister M.B. Patil, are at the mutt. Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy reached the mutt later in the day. The Head of Adichunchungiri mutt, Nirmalananda Swami, also arrived at the mutt at midday.

The 111-year-old seer of Siddaganga mutt, who was on ventilation support until recently, was brought back to the mutt on January 16. He is being treated for a lung infection which he developed after undergoing a liver bypass.
