Shivamogga, Bhadravati, Tirthahalli see heavy rain

Widespread rain was recorded in Shivamogga, Bhadravati and Tirthahalli taluks on Sunday.

Bhadravati city received 6 cm of rainfall in past 24 hours while 3 cm of rainfall was recorded in Shivamogga city during this period. The water level in Linganamakki and Bhadra reservoirs rose by 1 ft each in the past 48 hours owing to the torrential downpour in their catchment areas.

The water level in Linganamakki reservoir that was at 1,795 ft on Friday rose to 1,796 ft. on Sunday. The FRL is 1.819 ft. An inflow of water at the rate of 3,968 cusecs was recorded here.

Similarly, the water level in Bhadra reservoir that was at 163 ft. on Friday rose to 164 ft. (FRL 186 ft.) on Sunday. An inflow of water at the rate of 3,200 cusecs was recorded here.
