Eighth peetadhipati of Sharanabasaveshwar Samasthan, Sharanabasavappa Appa, released the book Seve Mathu Manaviyathe, a special publication of The Hindu, here on Friday on the occasion of the second birthday of his son, Doddappa.

The book details the history of Sharanabasaveshwara, dasoha tradition, and the contribution made by the Sharanabasaveshwar Samasthan in the field of education in this region.

Dr. Appa expressed happiness about The Hindu Group bringing out a book in Kannada for the first time. He said the organisation should publish more Kannada books in the coming years.

Seve Mathu Manaviyathe is the Kannada version of Humanity and Service, written by T.V. Sivanandan, veteran journalist and head of the Journalism Department at Sharnbasva University.

Chairperson of the Sharnbasavaeshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha Matoshree Dakshayani, secretary Basavaraj Deshmukh, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the university N.S. Devarkal, senior assistant manager Head-Institutions Vijaya Rama Raju, and cluster head Andhra Pradesh and Telangana S.D.T. Rao were present.
