The City Police Commissioner has imposed prohibitory orders around half a kilometer radius of Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in Bengaluru from Thursday afternoon to Friday mid-night in the wake of possible release of former Minister and mining baron, G. Janardhana Reddy.

The orders were imposed following intelligence agency inputs that there could be law and order issues as a large crowd of Reddy’s followers would gathering at the Central Jail to celebrate his release.

City Police Commissioner, M.N. Reddi, in his order, banned any kind of procession, gathering, banners, bunting placards and bursting crackers at the prohibited area.
