SAP TechEd 2013, a technology education, and business process conference series, organised by ERP solutions provider SAP, will begin on Wednesday at the Karnataka Trade Promotion Organization’s Trade Centre. The three-day event is in its 10th edition this year.
According to a release, the key themes are analytics, Big Data, in-memory computing, databases and user experience. It will feature the latest innovations in technology, applications and services that enable IT companies to respond rapidly to development changes, expand capabilities and maximise business impact, the release added. Informate launches DataDiary app
Informate Mobile Intelligence has launched DataDiary, a free app for the iPhone. The application helps in monitoring phone data usage. A release from Informate said the app allows you to monitor and track your iPhone’s data usage and also measures the data consumed on various networks you connect to. So it identifies ‘data guzzlers’ by giving you a breakdown of data usage of the top data consuming apps, allows you to understand patterns in your usage and monitors data usage on the different network providers that you connect to.
Training in cyber security
Security solutions provider ESET has announced a tie-up with security training firm Kyrion to educate IT college students on cyber security, a release from ESET stated.
Kyrion is conducting contests titled ‘Mini Chakravyuh’ in colleges across India.
According to a release, there is also an online option where over 500 people can participate. 100 finalists will be selected who will then compete in ‘The Hunt for the India’s Best IT Security Expert’ award. Pankaj Jain, director, ESET said: “Our aim is to encourage and enhance students on security aspects by providing them a safer digital world.”
