The Jagadish Nagar Ashraya Nivasigala Hitharakshana Samiti plans to organise a protest against the Hubballi Dharwad Municipal Corporation for failing to meet the promise given to them during the acquisition of Ashraya houses for the expansion of the Hubballi Airport. Secretary of the samiti Premanath Chikkatumbal said on Saturday that the district administration had issued a statement that 188 houses of the 612 Ashraya houses would be acquired for expansion of the airport and it would build 188 new houses for them. However not a single house had been built till date, he said.
