An inspector of the Railway Protection Force returned a vanity bag which contained gold jewellery worth Rs. 92,000 and Rs.7,000 in cash to a woman who had left the bag in the railway station in Tumakuru on Tuesday.
Inspector Kubendrappa noticed the bag on a bench and kept it under his custody. The woman, Shabina, a resident of Badesabpalya in Tumakuru, had left her bag on and had boarded the Bengaluru-Shivamogga train on Tuesday morning. She then realised her folly and got down from the train at Gubbi and came back to Tumakuru railway station.
Mr. Kubendrappa saw her searching for the bag and after inquiry handed over the bag to her.
