After Sunday’s heavy rains, the situation in Kodagu has improved with the district receiving sporadic spells of low-intensity rainfall on Monday. The schools and colleges, which remained closed on Monday in anticipation of a downpour, will reopen on Tuesday with a respite in rainfall.
Satish Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kodagu, told The Hindu, that the district received very heavy to heavy rains on Sunday but the intensity weakened on Monday. Monday’s rain spells were discontinuous, he added.
