Residents of Karanjikatte locality in the town under ward No. 27 staged a protest on Wednesday with empty vessels demanding supply of drinking water.

The area is facing acute drinking water shortage inspite of City Municipal Council (CMC) Vice-President Sakamma represents this ward, the protesters alleged.

They also blamed Ms. Sakamma for lack of infrastructure including good roads in the area. She grossly neglected the development in the area, they said.
