Report sought on arrest of terror suspects

January 22, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - MYSURU:

The Karnataka State Minorities Commission has sought a report on the recent arrest of three terror suspects from Bengaluru and Bhatkal.

Responding to a question, Commission Chairperson Balkis Banu said she had requested the Home Department for details of the recent arrests – two of whom were arrested in Pulakeshi Nagar in Bengaluru and one from Bhaktal.

Though she had not received any representation from the relatives of terror suspects, who had raised several questions over the police action, Ms. Banu said a delegation had met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru in this regard when she was not in the State capital.
