Ramzan was celebrated with religious fervour in Raichur and Yadgir districts on Monday.
Several thousands of Muslims in both the districts offered special prayers at mosques and other places of worship.
The celebrations marked the end of the Islamic month of Ramadan.
Muslim men, women and children greeted one another, wore new dresses and relished sumptuous meals. They also celebrated the festival by sharing their riches with the poor and the needy.
Huge crowds thronged the mosques for special prayers that started at around 9 a.m.
