Members of the Davangere district unit of the All-India Democratic Students Organisation (AIDSO) took out a procession and staged a dharna outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Friday demanding that the State government take steps to rectify the mistakes in the II PU results. The activists said the department should take steps to reduce the fee being collected for re-evaluation and re-totalling as a majority of students from poor and middle class families found it difficult to pay them.
They submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner S.T. Anjan Kumar.
In Ballari, N. Pramod, Secretary of the State unit, demanded that the department take up re-evaluation of the answer scripts on a war footing and announce the results.
In Bidar, activists of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad took out a protest rally against what they called “grave errors” by the government in preparing and announcing the PU results.
