The Union Ministry of Culture is holding a Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav 2018 in the State from January 14 to 20.
Spread over the cities of Bengaluru, Hubballi and Mangaluru, it will cover a profusion of art forms from classical, folk, music, dance, theatre to literature and the visual arts and would offer the chance to experience the best in established and emerging talent, according to a release.
The Mahotsav would be inaugurated by Ananth Kumar, Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers & Parliamentary Affairs, in the presence of Sadananda Gowda, Union Minister of Statistics and Programme Implementation, and Mahesh Sharma, Union Minister of State for Culture, on Sunday at 7.30 p.m. at Jnana Jyothi Auditorium in the city.
A handloom and handicrafts Utsav is also a part of the event. The culinary culture of several States will be showcased through a food festival.
The Mahotsav would be held in Bengaluru (January 14-16), Hubli-Dharwad (January 17-18), and Mangaluru (January 19-20).
