‘Ramesh Jarkiholi won’t resign’

Newly sworn-in Minister Satish Jarkiholi said on Tuesday that his elder brother and senior Congress leader Ramesh Jarkiholi would not resign from the party for having been dropped from the ministry.

“Neither Ramesh Jarkiholi nor others will resign. There is no question of that,” he told presspersons. “Disappointment among leaders is natural during the reshuffling of ministries. But they will stay with the Congress,” he said. “I will speak to Ramesh Jarkiholi. Our party leaders will also speak to him.”

“The Congress-JD(S) government is stable and will stay that way. For six months, BJP has been saying the government will fall. But it will not fall just because the BJP has been saying so,” he reiterated.
