“MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi has not resigned from his membership of the State Legislative Assembly. He is still in the Congress. He is a Congressman and he will stay in the Congress,” Minister for Sugar R.B. Thimmapur said in Athani on Thursday.
“He has not resigned. Speaker Ramesh Kumar has clarified that his resignation was not submitted in the proper format and hence, it was not valid. Mr. Ramesh Jarkiholi has not resigned,” Mr. Thimmapur asserted.
He also said that MLA Mahesh Kumthalli would neither quit the party nor will he resign from his membership of the Assembly. There is no need to worry about it, he said.
