With their presence of mind while on duty, constables from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) saved a woman passenger who slipped and fell while attempting to board a running train at Munirabad Railway Station recently.

As per information provided by South Western Railway authorities here on Sunday, the woman, who tried to board Hampi Express (Train No 16591) that just started leaving Munirabad station, slipped and fell on the platform.

Upon noticing the woman rolling on the platform, Yunus and Prem Kumar, RPF constables on train escort duty, jumped off the train and pulled her up to prevent her from falling on the track. Meanwhile, a woman constable from the RPF pulled the chain and brought the train to a halt.

The woman passenger, who was injured, was taken to Hosapete on the same train and then rushed to a private hospital in an ambulance. The Railway authorities said that the woman was out of danger.
