Bajrang Dal members protested against the State government for deciding to close down the Goseva commission, saying the move could hurt Hindu sentiments.

They took out a rally and burnt a tyre at Ambedkar Circle to show their disappointment. They shouted slogans against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Social Welfare Minister H. Anjaneya for the decision.

They demanded that the commission be restarted and new staff be appointed. They also sought complete ban on cow slaughter, and sale and transfer of beef. They asked the government to close down all slaughter houses and seal the borders to stop the transport of beef.
