A pre-paid auto stand was inaugurated at K.R. Hospital in Mysuru by City Police Commissioner, M.A. Saleem on Monday.

The pre-paid auto stand at K.R. Hospital was the eighth one in the City. Such pre-paid auto stands already exist at City Railway station, suburban bus stand, Zoo, and Jhansi Lakshmi Bai road among other places. “We plan to establish four more in different parts of the City soon”, Mr. Saleem told The Hindu.

Mr. Saleem said the City police is expected to launch a drive against auto rickshaws, which refuse to go on hire or demand excess fare.
