Brigadier Pravin Shinde assumed charge as 27th Commandant of the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre after a special ‘Sainik Sammelan’ attended by all ranks here on Friday.
He took over the baton from the outgoing Brigadier Santosh Kurup.
Brig.Shinde is a decorated officer and with experience of serving in highly demanding areas. He had also commanded 6 MARATHA LI and an Independent Infantry brigade. He has served on a number of command and staff appointments and has an excellent career profile.
The officer has attended various prestigious courses including the Defense Services Staff Course, Senior Command Course and Higher Air Command Course, according to Lt. Col. Kamaldeep Singh, Public Information Officer.
