Poojary opposes bandh call

Recalling the Supreme Court judgment, Congress leader B. Janardhana Poojary has opposed the bandh call given by the Congress. Addressing presspersons here on Sunday, he said that those who have given the call and those who are supporting it should realise its consequences in view of the Supreme Court judgment on giving a call for bandh. He said that the organisers, including the Congress, cannot escape from the consequences if a case is filed against them.

“It does not matter who has given the call. The Supreme Court ruling applies to all, be it an individual or a party,” he added.

To a question, he said he was ready to contest Lok Sabha elections if the party gave him ticket.
