Police shoot at murder accused;two constables injured in action

A police team, led by Circle Inspector S.S. Hiremath, was successful in arresting Nagaraj alias Naga (24), who had allegedly murdered a youth recently and beheaded the victim, after shooting him in his leg at Kerebhosaga village on Sunday morning. Two constables, Siddaramappa and Ramesh, were injured in the incident. The injured policemen were admitted at United Hospital and the accused in the District Hospital. “Both the constables sustained injuries caused by the accused with a sharp object. The wounds were not deep and the patients are stable now,” Vikram Siddareddy, a surgeon from United Hospital, told The Hindu .
