Superintendent of Police D. Prakash has suspended eight police officials, including three Assistant Sub Inspectors and five head constables, on charges of failing to curb gambling in the district and dereliction of duty.
According to a release here on Tuesday, those suspended are G. T. Lamani, ASI, and S.C. Bagali and G. R. Bagalenna, head constables attached to Gol Gumbaz police station; S.N. Nandan, ASI, and B.H. Kashinakunta and N. B. Jagirdar, head constables attached to Adarsha Nagar police station; and S.Y. Jyoti, ASI, and R.S. Salimath, head constable attached to Gandhi Chowk police station.
