Plastic waste cleared from Kukkarahalli Lake area in Mysuru

About 100 kg of plastic waste was removed from Kukkarahalli lake area in Mysuru on Sunday as part of the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan taken up by NCC Alumni Association (NCCAA).

Six officers, 15 Physical Instructors, 22 NCCAA members and 60 cadets participated in the Abhiyan. “The team cleaned the area surrounding Kukkarahalli lake and collected about 100 kgs of plastic waste”, said a statement from Mamatha Prasad M. from NCC’s 13 KAR Batallion.

The alumni of the NCC in Mysuru, who participated in the Abhiyan, included doctors, engineers, business persons and entrepreneurs among others. NCC Colonel R.R. Menon, NCC Administrative Officer Srinivas and others were also present on the occasion.
