The district administration has organised a photo exhibition to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at Kuvempu Rangamandir on October 2.
The exhibition will be held from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m and will be inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner V.P. Ikkeri. Photographs related to the Mahatma’s life and achievements will be on display. An audio-visual show on the rural development programmes launched by the Central and State governments will also be held.
Late Gandhi Basappa and Haladamma Trust will organise a programme to mark Gandhi Jayanti at Kuvempu Rangamandir at 6 p.m. Writer Hema Pattanashetty will talk on ‘Women in Mahatma Gandhi’s perspective’ on the occasion.
