While the Mysuru City Corporation and the State government are at odds over the agency to manage water supply to the city, the supply to many areas in Mysuru has been hit and many places, including Nazarabad, Dattagalli, have to depend on tankers.
In many areas it has become a common sight to see people in a queue near a borewell to fetch water.
Officials of Vani Vilas Water Works told The Hindu that adequate water could not be supplied to the entire city owing to three defunct motors.
One pump has been set right on Wednesday and two others are expected to be set right in three to four days. Officials said that over 25 tankers have been engaged to supply water to affected areas from morning to night.
