Lok Sabha member Prajwal Revanna, on Monday, said he had not received summons from the High Court on the election petitions and was not aware of it being published in a newspaper.
Speaking to presspersons here, he said he would consult his lawyers after he receives the notice. Recently, the High Court had issued him summons through a newspaper notification in response to election petitions challenging the legality of his election as Member of Parliament from Hassan. Former Minister A. Manju and advocate G. Devaraje Gowda had filed the petitions.
Mr. Prajwal said he would respect the law of the land and fight the case. He said he wanted to know if there was any proof to suggest that he had refused to receive the notices.
Reacting to reports that he would contest bypolls in Hunsur constituency, he said he would campaign for the party’s candidate. “I will not contest, but work for the victory of our candidate,” he said.
