NK wilts under severe heat wave conditions

Severe heat wave conditions prevailed in Hyderabad Karnataka and parts of Bombay Karnataka with both the day and night temperatures rising sharply as per the observations by the India Meteorological Department at 8.30 a.m. on Saturday.

Bidar recorded the State’s highest maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius and Kalaburagi recorded 41 degrees Celsius. Raichur and Vijayapura recorded maximum temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius.

Ballari and Koppal recorded 39 degrees Celsius, Bagalkote recorded 38 degrees Celsius and Belagavi Airport, Gadag, and Haveri recorded 37 degrees Celsius each.

There was no respite for the people of Hyderabad Karnataka during the night also with Bidar recording the State’s highest minimum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. Kalaburagi recorded a minimum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius, Raichur recorded 27 degrees Celsius, Vijayapura and Ballari recorded 26 degrees Celsius.

Sources in IMD said that there was no rain in both Hyderabad Karantaka and Bombay Karnataka during the period.
