National Youth Week concludes

The eight-day district-level National Youth Week, which began on January 12, concluded at Induwalu village on the outskirts of the city on Monday.

H.P. Manjula, Assistant Director, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports; Shanthakumari, writer; and H. Honnappa, former MLC, among others, inaugurated the valedictory function by offering floral tributes to Swami Vivekananda.

Ms. Manjula appealed to the youth to draw inspiration from Swami Vivekananda for making India a strong nation.

Painting competition and cultural programmes had been organised. District Women and Child Welfare Officer S. Diwakar, Nehru Yuva Kendra Officer, Siddaramappa and district Yuva Parishat president, M. Yogesh were present.
