National survey to include 81 schools

In all, 81 schools in the district will take part in the National Achievement Survey (NAS) - Class X (Cycle 2) on February 5.

The schools selected for the NAS represent institutions following the State, Central, ICSE syllabi, and include both aided and unaided educational institutions. As many as 8,475 students will take part in it, according to a release.

The release said of them, there are 3,524 students drawn from 35 government schools, 1,999 students from government-aided institutions, 2,906 from 27 unaided schools and 46 from a school following CBSE syllabus.

There will be objective-type tests for five subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Modern Indian Language.
