The Mysuru district police on Friday unveiled its website www.mysurudistricpolice.gov.in
The website has been developed to strengthen police-public interface, said Superintendent of Mysuru district police Ravi Channanavar.
Among other features, the website offers users an option to lodge complaints for their lost items.
A message about the complaint will be sent to the e-mail of the complainant and a copy of the same to the police station, said Mr. Channanavar.
This facility can be used by those who have lost their sim cards and need an acknowledgement of the police complaint to obtain a duplicate sim. It can also be used by those who have lost their driving licence, ATM card, cheque book, identity card, passport, and so on.
The website has a host of other features, including a list of police stations under its jurisdiction, the addresses and their telephone numbers, besides other emergency numbers. It also has mobile numbers of various government officials in the State. The website, which was launched by Inspector-General of Police, Southern Range, Vipul Kumar, has also been integrated with the Mysuru district police Facebook and Twitter accounts.
