Mustering centres in Udupi announced

The mustering and de-mustering of ballot boxes for the Gram Panchayat (GP) elections would be held at three schools in the three taluk headquarters in Udupi district. As many as 155 Gram Panchayats would go to polls on May 29 in Udupi district.

A release issued here on Monday said that 62 of the GPs were in Kundapur taluk, 59 in Udupi taluk and 34 in Karkala taluk.

The mustering and de-mustering centres would be held at St. Cecily’s School in Udupi, while it is Bhandarkar’s Arts and Science College in Kundapur and Jaycees English Medium School in Karkala. The tahsildars of the three taluks had visited the mustering and de-mustering centres and had given a report to the Deputy Commissioner, the release added.
