Muruga Sri Award for five persons

The Bruhanmutt has decided to honour five persons for their services in various fields, Shivamurthy Muruga Sharana has said.

Addressing presspersons here on Monday, he said that the former Minister S.S. Patil of Mundaragi; actor Dwarkish, artist Gangavathi Pranesh, senior researcher Shrishail Aradhya and physician P.M. Kantraju have been selected for the prestigious Muruga Sri award. The awards would be presented to these dignitaries during the Sharana Samskruti Utsav.

The award carries a purse of Rs. 25,000, a citation and a certificate.
