PWD and district in-charge Minister H.C. Mahadevappa has said that the Congress government in the State has fulfilled most of the promises it made in its election manifesto in the last four years.

Addressing presspersons at the Maharaja’s College grounds here on Thursday, the Minister said that apart from its “excellent performance,” the Siddaramaiah-led government has provided “clean and flawless” governance.

The Maharaja’s College grounds will host the programme to distribute facilities to beneficiaries of various schemes of Mysuru division on June 3 .

Mr. Mahadevappa said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, apart from distributing the facilities to the beneficiaries, will also illustrate the performance of the government threadbare during the function.

He said that the State government had come to the rescue of farmers in the last two years of drought.

Referring to a survey which had said that Karnataka was the “most corrupt State in the country,” the Minister said that he doesn’t wish to react to a survey conducted without any basis.

He claimed that the government had managed to curb corruption and there was not even a single scam in the past four years of its governance.

He exuded confidence of the Congress returning to power in the next Assembly elections with a comfortable majority.

The Minister said that around 15,000 beneficiaries from eight districts of Mysuru division will take part in the programme under the banner “Kotta mathu-Ditta sadane.”

District in-charge Ministers and senior officials will take part in the event. Cultural tableaux from all the eight districts will reach the venue after passing through important roads of Mysuru and a cultural programme will be held in the evening. Title deeds, sites, tricycles to the disabled, and various other facilities will be distributed to the beneficiaries during the programme.
