Mercury rises in H-K region

After a brief respite, mercury has started rising in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region with Bidar recording the State’s highest maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius, as per the observations recorded by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 8.30 a.m. on Monday.

Day temperatures also rose in Kalaburagi, which recorded a maximum temperature of 40.4 degree Celsius, and Vijayapura, which recorded a maximum temperature of 40.5 degree Celsius.

Bagalkote recorded a maximum temperature of 39 degree Celsius and Raichur, Gadag and Koppal recorded an identical maximum temperature of 38 degree Celsius. Ballari recorded a maximum temperature of 37 degree Celsius.

There was an increase in night temperatures also in the Hyderabad-Karnataka region with Kalaburagi recording the State’s highest minimum temperature of 27 degree Celsius, followed by 26 degree Celsius minimum temperature recorded in Raichur and Ballari respectively. Vijayapura and Gadag recorded a minimum temperature of 25 degree Celsius and Koppal recorded a minimum temperature of 24 degree Celsius.
