Mercury drops in H-K region

There was slight respite for the people of the Hyderabad-Karnataka region from severe heat wave conditions with the day temperatures coming down. Meanwhile, the temperature in the Bombay-Karnataka region has started increasing sharply as per the observations recorded by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 8.30 a.m. on Monday.

Kalaburagi recorded the State’s highest maximum temperature of 39.9 degree Celsius on Monday as against 42.4 degree Celsius maximum temperature recorded on Sunday. Bidar continued be under a severe heat wave spell with the maximum temperature shooting to 40 degree Celsius.

While Raichur recorded 39 degree Celsius maximum temperature, Koppal and Vijayapura and Gadag in the Bombay-Karnataka region recorded a maximum temperature of 38 degree Celsius. Bagalkote, Dharwad, Ballari and Haveri recorded a maximum temperature of 37 degree Celsius each.

While Bidar recorded the State’s highest minimum temperature of 30 degree Celsius, Kalaburagi recorded a high minimum temperature of 28 degree Celsius.

Raichur recorded a minimum temperature of 26 degree Celsius.
