Medical education session on urological cancers in Manipal today

The Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology, Shirdi Sai Baba Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, will organise a scientific medical education session on ‘Recent advances in urological malignancies’ here on Saturday.

A press release said here on Friday that discussions on recent developments and treatment of urological cancers — including kidney, bladder and prostate cancers — will be held at the session. The session will also include a workshop on ‘Tumor delineation: my way’ which includes a contouring demonstration.

Doctors in the field of urological cancer such as Ganesh Bakshi, head of the separtment of urological oncology and Vedang Murthy — both from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, Srivatsa Narasimha from HCG, Bengaluru; Vadhiraj B.M., Head of radiotherapy department, Manipal Hospital, Bengaluru; G.V. Giri, radiation oncology specialist from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru will participate.

Poornima Baliga, Dean of Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, will inaugurate the session.
