A section of the media was miffed over the BJP’s refusal to allow them to cover the proceedings of the party’s State executive meet in Mysuru on Sunday.
Several journalists, who had turned up at Rajendra Kalamandira on Ramanuja Road in the city to cover the meet, expressed their ire over the restrictions placed on them.
Though the bar on journalists came a day after the print and electronic media reported extensively on the continuing animosity between senior BJP leaders B.S. Yeddyurappa and K.S. Eshwarappa, the party leadership claimed they had made it clear that media will not be allowed to cover the meet on Sunday, but a press conference will be held in the afternoon to brief them about the deliberations.
But media representatives complained about the “high-handedness” of the party leadership in refusing them entry even into the compound.
