One person was killed in a truck-motorcycle collision at Mastiberu in Siddapura coming under Shankarnarayana police station limits on Tuesday. According to the police, Sukumar Shetty (26) was travelling on a motorcycle from Hosangady to Siddapura, while the truck was coming in the opposite direction, when they collided at Mastiberu. A severely injured Sukumar died on the spot. Rash and negligent driving by the truck driver is said to be the cause of the accident. A case had been registered and investigations were on, the police said.
