Man gets life term for murdering wife

Mounesh, a resident of Hirebadaradinni village in Manvi taluk, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by Second Additional Sessions Court, Raichur, for murdering his wife Hanumanthi.

He was charged with murdering his wife on September 26, 2014, as the latter refused to give him money to buy alcohol. Following a complaint by Durgamma, mother of the victim, a case was registered at Manvi police station and charge-sheet was filed by Circle Inspector G. Harish.

Public prosecutor P. Ikbal pleaded for the victim.
