Lakkappa (55), a resident of Shahbad town in Kalaburagi district is said to have died after a heat stroke on Wednesday.

However, the District Health and Family Welfare Officer Mohammad Zakir Ansari speaking to ‘The Hindu’ on Friday told that the death of Lakkappa was not due to heat stroke.

Dr. Ansari said the age factor or inadequate food intake might be the reason for the death. The exact cause of his death would be known only after verifying the post mortem reports, he added.
