Mahasabha to mark Dhamma Diksha Diwas on October 18

Bharatiya Bauddha Mahasabha, Mandya unit, is organising Dhamma Diksha Diwas on October 18.

Buddhist monks Dhammananda Bhanteji and Manorakhita Bhanteji, and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president G. Parameshwara will participate in it, M.C. Shivaraj, president of Mahasabha, told press persons here on Saturday. Several Bikkus (saints) from different parts of the State are likely to attend the programme.

The Mahasabha will organised several programmes including a procession and garlanding Ambedkar’s statue on the occasion, he said.
