Single digit lottery kingpin Pari Rajan, who was lodged in the sub-jail at Kolar Gold Fields (KGF), was taken to Central Prison in Bengaluru on Monday.
Arrested by CID police, Rajan had been admitted to the government hospital at KGF and was sent to the sub-jail following his discharge on Sunday.
Amid tight security, a team of District Armed Reserve police took Rajan to Bengaluru. The accused covered his face with a towel when he was taken out of the jail.
Earlier in the day, the police completed formalities in the court and got permission to shift Rajan to Bengaluru.
Rajan is likely to be shifted to Jayadeva Hospital after undergoing health check-up at the Central Prison in Parappana Agrahara.
