The Special Lokayukta Court on Thursday ordered Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Dasarahalli constituency and two accused persons to appear in person in court on July 27 in a land scam case.
Judge N.K. Sudhindra Rao also adjourned hearing on an anticipatory bail application filed by Mr. Muniraju to July 24.
He is expected to pronounce orders in the matter on that date.
Mr. Muniraju, Tahsildar Ranganathaiah and Revenue Inspector Suresh, have been accused of illegally using official powers to illegally acquire 1.15 acres of land in Dasarahalli. Based on a private complaint filed by Puttaswamy, the court ordered an investigation. The Lokayukta police, which found merit in the allegations, submitted a chargesheet indicting the MLA on July 13.
