Justice L. Narayana Swamy, the senior-most judge of the Karnataka High Court, is the acting Chief Justice.
Justice Swamy is “to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of the High Court with effect from the date Chief Justice Dinesh Maheshwari relinquishes the charge of the office of the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court consequent upon his appointment as a judge of the Supreme Court of India,” said a notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice.
