KSTDC’s Mysuru-Tirupati tour package soon

* KSTDC wants more accessibility to the ‘Seeghra Darshan’ at the temple city

The ‘City of Palaces’ will soon be linked to the temple city of Tirupati, with the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) coming up with exclusive tour plans to the most-visited pilgrimage destinations.

KSTDC Managing Director Harsha P.S. told The Hindu that he had written to a top official in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) committee for releasing more tickets under the ‘Seeghra Darshan’ system (which allows darshan of the lord on Rs. 300 ticket) to the KSTDC to operate more packages.

“The KSTDC is yet to receive a reply from the TTD. Hopefully, we may get it before we launch the package,” he said.

This is the first independent direct tour package proposed for the launch between Mysuru and Tirupati. “If we get access to the Seeghra Darshan, it will help us to cater to more pilgrims/tourists and boost the network,” he said.
