Trains on the Konkan Railway route are running late and have been regulated at various stations due to restoration work being carried after a goods train derailed near Chiplun, Maharasthra, on Tuesday.

For the convenience of passengers, Konkan Railway has made arrangements for providing tea, biscuits, and drinking water provision to passengers in trains which were regulated at Ratnagiri, Kankawali, Chiplun, and Kudal stations. Free meals were provided to passengers in Train no. 11004 Rajyarani Exp at Ratnagiri and Train no. 10111 at Khed. Breakfast arrangements were ensured in trains in the morning.

A refund has been arranged at stations for those who would like to cancel tickets. Transshipment was arranged on Tuesday for three pairs of trains in 99 buses and as many as 5,960 passengers were transshipped, said a spokesperson of Konkan Railway on Wednesday afternoon.

“We are making the best possible arrangements as far is possible. Trains will run late on the route today too. Passengers may check the status of trains on www.konkanrailway.com before boarding the train. In case

of any query, passengers can call on 022-27587939,” said the spokesperson.
