The Bengaluru Development Authority is planning to complete the process of allocating of 5,000 sites in the newly formed Kempegowda Layout by June 15, according to K.J. George, Minister for Bengaluru City Development.
The minister told reporters here on Tuesday that about 31,000 people had applied to get these sites.
As many as 12,000 sites had been formed in the new layout so far and 5,000 would be available for distribution to the eligible applicants in the first phase on the basis of seniority of attempts, he explained. The land losers would also get about 3,000 sites in the first phase, he said.
In all, the layout would have 40,539 sites when the works in all the phases are completed, he said.
