Karnataka SSLC exams pass percentage up by 4 points

The pass percentage of girls stands at 78.01%, while boys recorded 66.56%.

Karnataka recorded a pass percentage of 71.93 in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exams 2018 - an increase of 4.06% compared to last year’s 67.87%.

Out of 8.38 lakh students who appeared for the exam, 6.02 lakh students cleared the examination. The results were announced by Principal Secretary of the Department of Primary and Secondary Education, Shalini Rajaneesh.

The pass percentage of girls stands at 78.01%, while boys recorded 66.56%.

Rural students, with 74 % pass percentage, have scored more than their urban counterparts whose pass percentage is 69.38 %.

Government school students have registered pass percentage of 75.12, while 83.05 % of the students who attended private schools cleared the exam. Aided schools have secured 76.27% pass percentage.

Udupi, with 84.23 % passed, has retained the top spot, while Yadgir has the last spot, with 74.84 percent passed.
